What is a landing page?

A landing page is a page on your website that is designed to convert your visitors into leads or customers.

A landing page is very useful when you want to display ads online like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, etc. When you run an ad and people click on it, they are led to your landing page to see what your offer is or what your product or service is about.

So building a landing page is a great way to convert your visitors into customers for your business.

Note: For the purpose of keeping this article short, I’m assuming you are already aware of setting up a WordPress website.

That being said, let’s have a look at how to create a WordPress landing page that is beautiful and appealing.

Method #1 How to create a WordPress landing page using Seedprod

So let’s see how to create a WordPress landing page using SeedProd.

First, we will add the SeedProd plugin to our WordPress.

So get into your WordPress dashboard

• Go to Plugins> Add new

• Search for Seedprod and Install and Activate the Seedprod plugin (see below)

Now, your Seedprod plugin is active.

Next…..

• In the left-hand menu, click on the ‘Seedprod’ tab. Then, click on ‘Add New Landing Page‘.

You will see a list of templates for your landing page. I will be building a Fitness Program page, so I will select the ‘Fitness sales page’ template.

You can build the page more quickly by selecting a design that goes with the kind of landing page you want to make. However, each template is completely editable, allowing you to make whatever landing page you desire by changing any aspect of the design.

• After selecting the template, give a name to your page and a URL slug of your choice. I name my page Fitness Program (see below). Then, click on ‘Save and start editing’.

You will be taken to the page builder where you will find all the tools that will help you create a landing page.

You have a beautiful template that you’re working off of. And you can change the content and design of the page to your liking.

Let’s say you want to change the text of the title. Just select the block you want to edit.

I select the text block and edit the text therein.

You can also replace an image with your own image. Just select the Image block and delete it by hovering over the image from the left-hand side panel.

After deleting, you will get options to either upload your own image or use the stock images available.

I chose to add my own image (see below).

Apart from text and image formatting, Seedprod offers a lot of other helpful blocks that will help you create a high-converting landing page.

Let’s say you want to add a button as a call-to-action.

• Click on the Blocks tab under the Design tab

• Select Button

Drag the Buttons option to any empty space on your page and enter the text in the button. I have typed “Get access to the program now”.

Don’t forget to link your button to a URL. Scroll down a little in the left-side panel and enter the URL in the Link option.

If everything looks alright, click on Save>Publish to make your landing page go live.

SeedProd offers a lot of other blocks including text, images, video, buttons, headlines, dividers, lists, etc.

Apart from that, SeedProd also allows you to connect or integrate your landing pages with email marketing services like GetResponse, Mailchimp, etc. If you are building a landing page to capture new leads, then this feature will be very useful.

People that subscribe or submit their emails will automatically be added to the email lists in the selected email marketing service.

I recommend using Getresponse for your email marketing needs. It’s a wonderful tool that has never let me down once.

To connect your landing page to an email service, click on the Connect tab and choose from all the available services.

You can also connect your landing page to Google Analytics for tracking its traffic and other important metrics. Under the ‘Connect‘ tab, scroll down a little and select Google Analytics.

This is how you create a WordPress landing page with the SeedProd plugin. I recommend this method as it helps you create seamless and beautiful landing pages without much effort.

But you would have to buy the Pro version of SeedProd in order to gain access to all the templates and themes. The free version has very limited themes.

Method #2 How to create a WordPress landing page using the WordPress Block Editor

If you don’t want to use a plugin to create a WordPress landing page, you can also use the WordPress Block Editor. Here, you will have to do things manually, though it also lets you use templates. But, the templates aren’t that attractive in the Block Editor.

So if you want to create a WordPress landing page with the Block Editor, I recommend doing everything either manually or if using a template, then edit it completely as the templates aren’t that attractive.

Manual editing will look a lot more beautiful than using a template. But don’t worry, I will also show you how to use templates. And then you can choose which way suits you the best.

So follow these steps to manually create a WordPress landing page.

• Click on ‘Pages’ from the left-hand panel and then click on ‘Add New’.

• Give a name to your page. I have named it “Online Courses” as I will create a landing page for offering online courses.

Now, in order to build the page, you need to add blocks to it.

To add a new block…

• Click on the blue colored ‘+‘ icon in the top left corner near the WordPress logo. You will get a list of various blocks. Let’s say we want to add an image to our page. Select ‘Image‘ (shown below).

I uploaded an image related to online courses.

Now, you may want to add a heading to your page. Simply click the ‘+‘ icon again and select Heading.

I typed the Heading as ‘Get Access To My Best Online Courses For Earning Money Online’. You can change the size and color of the text from the right-hand side menu (see below).

I also want to add a button as a call-to-action to get access to the list of all available courses.

For that, simply click on the ‘+‘ icon and search for Buttons and click on it.

Enter the text that you want the button to show. I entered ‘Get Access Here‘. You can also change the button color from the right-hand side menu.

And don’t forget to link the button to a URL of your choice. For that, click on the button and then click on the small link icon as highlighted in red color below. Then enter your URL.

Apart from text, buttons, images, and Headings, there are a lot of other useful block types like Quotes, Lists, Videos, Custom HTML code, File upload, etc. It won’t be possible to explain every block in this article.

So I leave it up to you to use your creative minds and build the most beautiful WordPress landing page.

This is how you create a landing page manually through the WordPress Block Editor.

But as I promised, I will also show you how to use readymade templates from the Block Editor, let’s dive into that.

Click on the ‘+‘ icon (you must know the drill by now) and search for ‘Pattern library‘ and click on it as shown below.

Search for something related to your niche. I searched for ‘online course’. It filtered out all the templates that match an online course website. Select anyone you like.

This is how my page looks after using a template (see below). You can see there are buttons, headings, images, text, etc. already poured out for you.

You can easily edit any block by selecting it. Most of the editing process is self-explanatory and I know you are smart enough to go through it.
